This is the second of the 5 required blog posts you will do for the semester in our class. Access the Blog in the Student Resources Module and review the Blog Directions and Grading for assignment details. Think back to the last few times you have been sick. Can you see any patterns between getting sick and stressful events in your life? How does this relate to the influence of stress on the immune system? Do you think your gender plays a role in how stress affects you and therefore the activation of your immune system? If not, find a way to discuss the possibility of this in others. Finally, consider your childhood and what we’ve learned about attachment – how could this affect your reactions to stress, and sickness? Remember that you should read ALL of the readings assigned for this unit (lessons 4-6), and refer to several of these in your blog post. Integrate course material into your own story to show that you not only read, but understood and can discuss (in your own words) the lesson concepts. Use your personal experiences as a way to relate to and describe what you learned, but don’t treat the blog post as a journal entry. More than half of your post should be specific to course material, rather than your own story. Your blog post should be between 700 to 1,100 words, and should refer to at least 5 different articles assigned during this unit. Citations and references should follow APA formatting guidelines. Your blog title should be descriptive of your overall post content.
