In the study that we selected, an analysis was carried out in order to find out the effect of intervention in lifestyles and their changes on blood pressure and obesity among housewives.( Kassim MSA, R.(2017).Where the study is designed for the chosen study is a semi-experimental study. The selected study included 328 participants who were overweight, obese, hypertensive and belonging to a low economic status. The participants were housewives between the ages of 18 and 59. The cross-sectional study group also included 169 participants, while the control group included 159 participants. For the intervention group, a lifestyle intervention was provided, which included proper diet, self-monitoring behavior, physical activity. (Kassim MSA, R. 2017). Pre-and post-intervention tests were performed on patients selected from housewives.
In the selected study, data analysis was performed through SSPS. The tests that contributed to the participants and to the study also included double samples of T-tests, post-intervention tests for each group, the application of descriptive statistics, and repeated measurements of the general linear model. This makes the research important and also increases the power of the research due to the applications of various statistical tests and the analysis of the results based on the p-value was considered important at P< 0.05 for all tests.( Park WS, Kim JS,et al.2017). From the results, it was concluded that the lifestyle intervention led to a significant weight loss, a decrease in blood pressure, and a decrease in body mass index after a period of six months after the intervention.
For the limitations of the chosen study is that the semi-experimental study favors randomization in the sampling technique. Since randomization is defined as the key to generalizing the results and results of the study. (Park WS, Kim JS,et al.2017) However, for this study, it was not convenient to conduct randomization with the feasibility of this community intervention for various reasons.The study included human resources and ethics. (Park WS, Kim JS,et al.2017).
