Briefly, give your basic assumption/sketch of knowledge you have about both the refugee sending and receiving country, and conditions in the camp, the cause of displacement. Then choose which focus area you have selected from the list provided below, and explain why the country and the focus area is relevant to you. Include a brief preliminary plan about how you want to contribute to conversation and action in improving their conditions. For this assignment, you will write a brief two-page double spaced short-plan of statement using 12 font a two-page double with margins one inch from each side. Be clear in communicating your ideas and discussions, assuming that you are writing to an audience who is not aware of any of the issues. Give proper citation (e.g. page numbers, etc.) when quoting authors or when using concept developed by the authors. LIST OF FOCUS AREA TO IMPROVE THE CONDITIONS OF REFUGEES IN CAMPS 1) Improving built in environment (physical, social, material, spiritual, etc.) of the Temporary Refugee Camp/Settlement. 2) Helping & Advocating for the safe return of refugees to their home land. This depends on conditions in their country. 3) Creating temporary employment/engagement in making livelihood until their return to their homeland or resettled in other countries. 4) Recruiting “skilled/unskilled” refugees/migrants labour force for resettlement in the Global North (e.g. Canada) 5) Establishing mutually benefiting (for the investor and the displaced population) business while they wait for returning to their homeland, or for resettlement in other countries. 6) Protecting refugees/migrant from Human Trafficking 7) You can comment/suggest how the state and the interest of the “elite” and the ordinary people in the GS may work together to improve social, and political- economic conditions. 8) Protecting refugees/migrant from violence and exploitation
