This document is divided into two parts. Please fill out both parts to the best of your ability. Missing either part will mean this final project is incomplete.
Part 1 – Self Assessment of Major Projects
You’ll be numerically scoring your major projects AND providing a defense or statement about why you deserve said grade. IF you scored yourself low, this is the opportunity to explain how you realistically would have made your projects more effective if you had the time, access, or funding to do so. The space might be limited, but you can extend the document as long as you’d like so don’t feel you have to squeeze everything into a box. Just keep writing where necessary.
Part 2 – Reflection Essay
You’ll be writing out a structured essay wherein you answer questions I present. Consider this essay to be less formal (write how you want, BUT make sure I can read it without my eyes hurting because it’s a single 500+ word sentence; so please give me an accessible reading experience through sentences and paragraphs). The way I lay out the essay is a suggestion, but you’re welcome to answer the questions however you want, so long as you answer each one to the best of your ability.

Part 2
Reminder – The following is a SUGGESTED structure for your paper. However, if you wish to take it in your own direction, you’re welcome to do so BUT you must answer every question to the best of your ability. Your essay must be 2 FULL pages but can be longer if you want.
Introduction
What did you expect this class to be like before you started it? How did you feel about reading and writing back then? Do you feel any differently now?
Having completed your projects, reflect on moments that weren’t as effective and what you do to help make them more effective? What would you change, update, modify?
Pick 3 moments where you recognize your own learning (you could discuss the projects again, but it might be more beneficial to instead focus on either the things we did in class on a daily basis, on the articles we read, or the work you did with your classmates). What did you learn? How did you learn those things?
Discuss the multiple perspectives (such as cultural, disciplinary, and ethical) that you have encountered in this class and the way you incorporated that knowledge into your work this semester. In other words, think of how you tried to see things from other peoples’ perspectives and how that might have influenced the way you did things (ex. Did you try understand how a hostile audience might disagree with what you’re saying in your research paper and try to address those concerns? Did you try to consider the culture of the audience of your remix and try to shape your Remix project to appeal to a young audience? Did you understand the significance of using sources to support yourself? Did you find yourself reflecting on Justice as a concept that is useful to understand how language and literacy can change, shift, or develop based on the agency of those who discuss justice?)
In what ways can you use what you learned here in other classes, in current/future work situations, or in your own life? In other words, what value does what you learned in our class have in your development as a person, citizen, writer, and student?
Learning Moments
Reflect on the “What We Owe Each Other Document.” What was it about? Did it change your perception of the class? Having finished the class, what do you think about the document and what would you change about it? What do you think Mr. G’s goal was for using the document for the class? Was Justice enacted withing the WWOEO Document? If so, how? If not, why not?
