For this assignment, you must use detailed statistical data and researched information and business, financial or economic theories to support the arguments that you present in your text.
Research an issue relating to an event which has adversely or positively impacted a company or industry of your choosing.
You should include all of the following in your text, but can choose to incorporate more information so as to provide a more complete response:
Briefly describe an event of your choice and describe its adverse or positive impact(s) on a business or industry of your choice. Use statistical data and factual information to address this question.
Describe how the company or industry that you have chosen was negatively or positively impacted by the event that you chose.
You must integrate at least two business, financial or economic concepts acquired in this class to explain how the event that you chose negatively or positively impacted of that on the company or industry that you chose. You can use graphs or equations to relate the theories that you chose.
Normative Question:
You may address the following, but can decide to address more questions:
“Which were the particular effect(s) of the event on the company?”
“How did the company’s management and employees react?”
Describe qualitatively what you believe were the actions of the company that helped to resolve the issue(s).
Use the knowledge acquired in this class to make a normative assessment and propose a policy recommendation that you believe would help to mitigate the adverse impact(s), or amplify the positive impact(s) of the event on the company or industry that you chose. (This last question will account for a significant portion of your Final Project grade)
